Hybrid – Strength Training and 5K Running
Magic Training
About the plan
A 12-week hybrid plan that combines strength training (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) and running (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday), focused on the 5K. Weekly running volume is between 12 and 16 miles (20 and 25 km), with quality sessions aimed at VO2max, threshold and 5K race pace. Strength training is split into upper body (Monday), lower body (Wednesday) and functional full body (Friday), complementing running with strength gains and injury prevention. Periodization: Adaptation (weeks 1–4), Development (weeks 5–8) and Strength & Intensity (weeks 9–12).
