10K Norwegian Method
Magic Training
About the plan
An adaptation of Norwegian training for advanced amateur runners, in a single-session format (singles), with no double days. The week revolves around three sub-threshold sessions — intervals at controlled threshold pace, always with short rest — surrounded by truly easy runs and an easy long run on Sunday. No gray zone: VO2 and race-pace work only comes in during the final three weeks, once the base is built. For runners who already run 31 miles (50 km) or more per week and want a new 10K time by accumulating stimulus without breaking down.
