Challenges
Everything that earns points on Magic Training, explained end to end. The numbers on this page come straight from the rules in force.
XP is the currency of progression. It comes in through three paths and is never recomputed from scratch: every credit is recorded with its source and date.
Your level is derived from your accumulated XP. The names follow the training zones: the first levels come fast and the last ones take years of consistency.

Every month the platform opens 10 challenges. Join as many as you like; activities synced from your watch or logged by hand count on their own.
Your position is computed live from the activities completed within the period, in calendar days in the Brasília time zone. Ties go to whoever joined first. Anyone without activity in the period has no position.
A coach can create challenges just for their athletes. There, the placement bonus is halved and the participation cap is 200 XP.
The result is frozen one day after the challenge ends, giving your watch time to sync.
The league is the week's competitive layer: you join a group of up to 30 people in your division and the score is your activity XP from Monday to Sunday.
There are 5 divisions: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond. Everyone starts in Bronze; nobody moves above Diamond or below Bronze.
1 XP per km run, 8 XP per completed workout (running or strength) and +5 XP per plan workout. Cap of 300 XP per week. The league score is exactly the activity XP you receive at closing.
Among those who scored during the week, the top 25% move up (at least 1, at most 7) and the bottom 15% move down (at most 5, and only in groups with 7 or more people scoring). Anyone who did not train neither moves up nor down.
1st +150, 2nd +100, 3rd +75, and +50 for moving up a division.
At the turn from Sunday to Monday. Activities synced after that do not count toward the previous week, but do count for the new one.
Opening the challenges or league page places you in this week's group. Anyone who trained but has not opened the page yet is placed automatically the next day. If you prefer not to take part, you can leave the leagues at any time; the XP from your activities keeps coming in.
Badges mark milestones in your running history: total distance, workouts, longest run, consistency, strength, elevation, challenges, leagues, level and completed plans. There are 75 badges across 10 categories.
Each category is a ladder of tiers. Earning a badge grants fixed XP by tier: 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 / 150 / 200 XP.
Badges are evaluated whenever you receive XP and when you open the challenges or the achievements page. An earned badge is never lost.
See my badge board →Taking part in a challenge or a league means appearing in a ranking. Here is exactly what others see.
Other enrolled people see your name, photo, level, the metric value (for example, total km) and your position. In coaching-group challenges, only the athletes and the coach of that group.
The up to 30 people in your group see your name, photo, level, the week's km and workouts, the week's XP and your position.
Details of your activities (route, map, heart rate, times), your profile data, your measurements and your training plan. Rankings exist only among logged-in people: nothing is public on the internet.
You can leave a challenge while it is open and leave the leagues at any time, via the button on the league page. Results of weeks and challenges already closed stay in your history. Deleting your account removes everything.
